Some stories have unsatisfying conclusions, and others fail to be completed. Charles Dickens never finished writing The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Although Gatsby was Great, F. Scott Fitzgerald was unable to complete The Last Tycoon. And even the prolific C.S. Lewis left multiple works unfinished.

Well, my daughter has AN ENTIRE DRAWER of stories that are whimsical, captivating, creative…and incomplete. Her mind is a cornucopia of creativity, but although her creations appear delicious, most are half-done at this point…we’re hoping at some point these stories become a blissfully beautiful batch of fully-baked blessings!

Conversely, many others are afflicted by “Completion Compulsion” and prematurely churn out a mediocre morass of stodgy and unappetizing drivel. Oftentimes, the recipe for excellence calls for Time, and any substitution in the name of efficiency will make the product unworthy and inedible.

But thankfully, God doesn’t leave projects unfinished, nor does He create anything but masterpieces. Despite life’s distractions and our own impatience, He will be faithful.

The most important story has already been written…focus on that and let the Author refine and beautify your own epic tale🙂
