Today is Groundhog Day, a morning rooted deeply in tradition…a tradition of meteorological forecasting based on the capricious whims of a Pennsylvania rodent. Good stuff, America…you’re almost as likely to get accurate prognostication from the mainstream media…almost🙂

But arguably the best thing to ever result from this ridiculous “holiday” is the Groundhog Day MOVIE. Bill Murray is caught in an endless time loop, re-living February 2nd until his perspective shifts from selfish cynicism to one of grateful contentment. And it’s only when his outlook changes that February 3rd finally arrives!

And really, contentment is the only way to escape the tyranny of the mundane and the drudgery of “the same old thing.” Whether it’s Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, or just another Tuesday, fill it with gratitude, grace, and love…and if you do that, you won’t even mind re-living that same day over and over again for as long as God keeps you around🙂
