My daughter had an important announcement:

“Although I don’t really like animals, I actually don’t mind LEARNING about animals.”

Given her tendency to, in past eras, run away screaming from all four-legged creatures, I figured this refreshingly mature perspective was yet another good step in the right direction.

But she wasn’t done.

“In order to DEFEAT the enemy, you have to KNOW the enemy.”

Welp, I guess we’ll have to wait just a hair longer before referring to domestic fauna as “Furry Friends”
