My mind may plumb the darkest depths of scientific seas

While my heart runs on the trails through forests, hills, and trees

My mind takes me on pilgrimages all around the world

My heart is wrapped around the finger of my little girl

My mind says, “You can do what’s never been before achieved”

My lonely heart is crushed to bits without my family

My mind can take a snapshot, etch it into memory

My heart longs for the Great Beyond where I am finally free

My mind can transiently be entranced by Earthly charms

My heart knows that I won’t be home until I’m in His arms

My mind knows life is beautiful, it’s obvious to see

Fully known, my full heart knows He gave his life for me
